Ticketing Updates for 2023/24 Season

Name Change

International Members are now called Global Members.

Global Member Ticket Location

At the beginning of the 2023/24 season, tickets were only available in the Y9 section of the Wrexham Lager stand. When the Temporary Kop opened during the season, some tickets in the lower rows were allocated for International Members.

For the 2024/25 season, Global Member tickets have only been available in the Temporary Kop, specifically Row E in Section B and Rows A-C in Sections C and D. This was a great place to sit when I was there for the season-opening match on August 10th and even last season's final game on August 27th. However, this uncovered section behind the goal will likely be less comfortable in December and January.

Global Member Ticket Numbers

At the beginning of the 2023/24 season, the club stated that 75 tickets were allocated in section Y9. For the matches in 2024/25, 186 tickets were available in the Temporary Kop.

Fan Zone

This season, the club has opened a Fan Zone behind the Temporary Kop (not to be confused with the Fan Zone at the Turf next door). The entry fee for this Fan Zone is automatically attached to all Global Member tickets in Sections C and D (162 tickets), but not to the tickets in Section B (24 tickets).

Supply/Demand

Last season, tickets for International Members typically sold out in less than an hour. This season, tickets for each of the first three home matches have taken several days to sell out.

Away Tickets

The most significant change this season is larger allocations for away fans due to the larger grounds of many League One opponents. This will probably lead to more opportunities to purchase away match tickets. However, it remains to be seen whether the added interest among season ticket holders, who have first prior to purchase away match tickets, will negate any increased ticket numbers.

Match Ticket General Information

Like other UK clubs, buying match tickets from Wrexham AFC requires club membership, in this case, an Global Membership. There are no secondary online marketers, so I will focus on the steps involved in purchasing tickets directly from the club. However, I will briefly mention three other possible routes if you fail to get International Member tickets online.

1. Follow this private Facebook page, which helps fans buy, sell, and swap tickets Click Here

2. Ask around the Turf and other game day gatherings.

3. Visit the ticket office on game day, as they release any extra tickets at that time.

4. Do NOT walk around the stadium on game day with an “I NEED TICKETS” sign. It might get you a ton of social media views, but it will also get you scorned by locals…many who also “need tickets” but frown upon secondary market sales.

Step-by-step Guide to Purchasing Match Tickets

1. Purchase a Wrexham AFC Global Membership

2. Activate your Membership

Your membership must be activated to purchase tickets.

3. Create your Network

If you plan to purchase more than one ticket, you will need to assign each ticket to an active member.

4. Await Ticket Sale Notifications

Ticket sales for each match begin approximately 2-3 weeks before the match. You can get notifications for ticket sales for specific matches from club emails, website and social media posts a few days before sales begin.

5. Purchasing International Tickets

Log in a few minutes before the published sale times. Be sure you are logged into your membership account when the sale begins. When it is your turn, the system will show tickets available in your class.

After selecting your tickets and placing them in the cart, you must assign each ticket to an active member. There is a time limit for cart checkout, so creating your network before ticket sales open is essential.

6. Purchasing Resale Tickets

Tickets released for resale are scarce. For the match in which I bought a resale ticket last season, I saw single tickets available twice while checking multiple times a day for two weeks. But if you miss the general sale, this can be a savior if you get lucky. Resale tickets anywhere in the stadium appear to be eligible for purchase by Global Members.

7. Purchasing Away Match Tickets

The process for purchasing away tickets is the same as for home matches. The disclaimer regarding ticket purchases states these tickets must be picked up at the Racecourse or physically mailed to a UK address as these are hard copy, printed tickets. However, for some matches we attended, later announcements allowed fans to pick up tickets at/near the away stadium on game day.

You can also purchase seats on the coach from the Racecourse to the away stadium on the same ticketing site. These are digital tickets, the same as home match tickets.
