“Welcome to Wrexham”

The Vibe

Around Wrexham, around Wales, and across the UK, most people know about the documentary. As one Wrexham fan put it, “Everyone watches it. Even those that say they don’t, they do watch it.” Outside of the envious opponents, the responses seem to be uniformly positive.

It also seemed to be a general topic of conversation. If you ask residents, they can tell you specific episodes in which they appeared. At times, you might even hear them discussing rumors of future episodes.

The Filming

Around matches, home and away, you will likely see film crews in action.

The People

The people featured in the documentary are all around the stadium and town, as any team’s soccer fans would be, and you will see them on game days. We met many of them and also made friends with many residents that we didn’t know were in the documentary until later.

Declan Swans

Declan Swans are active in the local area, and you might be able to hear them play when you are in town. Follow their Facebook page for the latest information on any upcoming gigs: Click Here

The Turf

Yes, The Turf is a real bar next to the stadium. Yes, Wayne Jones is the actual owner, and yes, he is as nice in real life as he comes across in the documentary.

You can read more about the experience at The Turf in the Game Day and Away Travel sections. More information can also be found on their website. Click Here
